Walkabout Press, Inc. 

Walkabout Press was a blast. I was 38 when things started cooking with my first book, Play Hard Rest Easy: New England, and I did the things you do to run a business, including payroll, permits & licenses, managing overhead. I got to meet and work with so many great people. I also got out a lot to explore and report on those expeditions in the second book, Play Hard Rest Easy: Carolinas and Georgia, which I co-authored with friend Deron Nardo. While officially still in business since 2000, Walkabout Press went on indefinite hiatus in 2006. My guess is something will happen with it again. You don't take an original Gordon Smith logo like that and toss it on the scrap heat of discarded corporate identities. Click on the logo for a link to a past time.
